Investment in the future – Specialized Machine Engineering Knowledge bundled on 3.000m²

Many years of hard work by all employees enabled SAB to build a new, modern and up-to-date premises.

At the existing location, the company reached its limits in terms of space.

Also in view of future developments it would not have been possible to realize expansions and modern working environments – and so the decision to make this future-oriented investment was obvious.

The property, which until recently was owned by the municipality of Deutschlandsberg, is located opposite the previous office complex and represents the ideal location for the future development of the company.  With the local master builder Arnfelser, a strong partner could be found for the architectural and technical planning.

The assembly area of the new company town alone extends over 1,800m² and has a cooling system, a transformer connection capacity of 700KVA and several cranes with a maximum total load capacity of over 30 tons for preliminary commissioning of machines and systems developed by SAB.

Also from an ecological point of view, this construction was able to set accents. For example, preference was given to plots of land that would avoid further sealing of green areas and that would allow existing old buildings to be taken into account in the planning. A large-scale photovoltaic system combined with heat pumps and geothermal boreholes ensures a significant share of climate-neutral energy consumption.

The start of construction in April 2023 marked another milestone in the company’s history and the creation of the basis for further successful growth. This is not just an investment in buildings and machinery, but also in the future of new brands and products, as well as in employees and training of young people in the region.
