Current company report:
Highest order backlog in the company’s history!
Deutschlandsberg, June 12, 2024 | During a works meeting on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, SAB employees were presented with the current order status and the expected further business development. In contrast to the continuing and in some cases even consolidating poor mood in many areas of Austrian industry, machines and systems from SAB are fortunately more in demand than ever!
Despite difficult conditions and a relatively quiet start to the 2024 financial year, new orders of around 13 million were received by the middle of the year. In total, the order backlog as at June therefore amounts to around EUR 20 million in machines and plants, which will be implemented over the next 12 months.
According to estimates by SAB management, this impressive development could even continue until at least 2026. From forecasts beyond this date have been refrained due to too many unknowns. The largest growing, but also actively promoted product sector is currently clearly that of automation technology. The demand for automation of complex production steps with the help of state-of-the-art robot and manipulation technology is increasing rapidly, not only due to higher labor costs, but also due to the advantages in precision and traceability of high quality standards.
The company’s management has therefore announced that it will remain firmly on its chosen path, which is essentially aimed at maximum flexibility, success-hungry employees, down-to-earth action and the use of state-of-the-art technology. By investing heavily in infrastructure, training and further education for a highly motivated SAB workforce and insourcing important departments (SAB Automation), the company believes it is ideally equipped for this promising future. The focus will be on the next improvements in the area of project management and especially on faster, final commissioning of machines and systems.
The works meeting ended at 2 p.m. with words of thanks to the workforce for their great commitment.
